Representatives from the Navy visit the Oak Grove Tech Team to learn what we are doing and how they can apply that to an upcoming device deployment project.
On April 1, 2014, five representatives from the U.S. Naval Recruit Training Command at Great Lakes met with with Oak Grove Tech Team to learn about our tablet infrastructure and usage. They were interested to learn about how we maintain, charge and deploy software to large numbers of tablets for an upcoming deployment pilot at the base. Our school is a good model because our square footage and number of users is roughly equivalent to one of their barracks. We also shared information about our network infrastructure and best practices. It was a pleasure to learn about current and future technology usage at the Naval Base, and to be able to share what we are doing at Oak Grove to possibly make their upcoming project go smoother.
